Inside Green – Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Inside Green's website, insidegreen.ca (the “Site”). By accessing or using any part of the Site or any of the products or services offered by or through the Site, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions of use. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, you must not access insidegreen.ca or use its products or services. These terms and conditions of use may be changed at any time by Inside Green without any notice to you, and your access to the Site and its products and services shall be governed by the most current version of these terms and conditions.
Privacy Policy
The Site is intended to serve as a tool to connect supporters, friends and donors about the Inside Green plant stewardship project, and other conservation issues, and to provide the means for individuals and communities in urban areas to engage in houseplant stewardship and propagation, and reconnect with nature. In the course of providing Inside Green’s services on the Site, information is exchanged back and forth between the Inside Green servers, online users, and their browsers. In some instances on the Site, you may be asked to provide your name, postal code, age, type of housing, number of people in your household, e-mail address, and other information, including optional information that may be provided by stewards at their discretion. While you can visit the Site without registering or providing any personal information, you will need to provide certain information if you are signing up for the Inside Green newsletter, or registering as a steward in the plant stewardship project. The information collected by Inside Green is used to inform supporters and stewards about Inside Green’s activities, programs, special events and ways to support Inside Green’s goals. It may also be used to generate statistics and reports. These statistics and reports will not contain any personally identifiable information, and Inside Green will not disclose, sell, or trade personal information to any external party. The information will only be used by Inside Green for the purposes for which it was collected.
Site Security
Security of visitor information is paramount to Inside Green, and personal information stored on the site will be encrypted with SSL. Inside Green follows generally accepted industry standards to protect personal information, both during transmission and once received. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Inside Green uses cookies for several purposes, including to help understand how people interact with the Site and services, in order to provide a better experience. Inside Green does not collect or retain personal information with cookies.
Liability
In no event shall Inside Green, and (as applicable) its subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees or suppliers be liable for any damages whatsoever, whether direct or indirect, general, special, compensatory, consequential, and/or incidental, arising out of, or relating to (a) the conduct of you or anyone else in connection with the use of the Site, (b) the plant stewardship project or any other Inside Green program, (c) the accuracy, content, timeliness, completeness, legality, reliability, quality, suitability or decency of any information, advice, content, service, product or merchandise contained on the Site or in sites linked to or from the Site, (d) the inability to use the Site, (e) mistakes, omissions, interruptions, suspension, termination, deletion of files or email, errors, defects, viruses, delays in operation or transmission, or any failure of performance with respect to the Site, including without limitation those that result from acts of god, communications failure, theft, destruction, or unauthorized access to Inside Green's records, programs, or services, (f) merchandise, products, or services received through or advertised on the Site and merchandise, products, or services received through or advertised on any links provided on the Site, (g) information or advice received through or advertised on the Site and information or advice received through or advertised on any links provided on the Site and (h) any information, data, text, messages and other materials that you email, post, upload, reproduce, transmit or otherwise distribute using the Site. Because Inside Green cannot anticipate every individual’s particular circumstances, environment, conditions, surroundings and situations, Inside Green makes no guarantees with respect to the fitness and safety of any plants in the plant stewardship project, and you agree to hold Inside Green harmless from any claim arising out of your participation in the plant stewardship project.
Intellectual Property
Inside Green, and other Inside Green graphics, logos, designs, page headers, button icons, scripts, and service names are the intellectual property of Inside Green. Inside Green's trademarks may not be used, including as part of trademarks and/or as part of domain names or email addresses, in connection with any product or service in any manner that is likely to cause confusion. The content made available to you on the Site is protected by copyright and other proprietary rights and does not convey or create any license or other rights in such proprietary rights. None of the information or images on the Site may be resold in any manner, including restricted or commercial on-line systems, without the express permission of Inside Green
