Inside Green Events: Flea Market & Breweries of Fall 2019

Time flies when you're having fun, that's for sure! We started our seasonal string of events in November and in a blink of an eye; here we are, writing reports of our awesome Inside Green Fall 2019 pop-ups at Eastside Flea Market, Andina Brewing Company and Strathcona Beer Company. We sure did add some green on the East Van side of our Inside Green map!

Opening the Season with a Weekend Pop-Up at Eastside Flea Market

Eastside Flea is a modern-day flea market that takes place in Vancouver, BC. Each event hosts over 50 local vendors selling diverse goods from handmade makers & independent projects. Inside Green participated in one of the Fall markets, on November 2nd & 3rd 2019. We brought 162 assorted tropical houseplants and sold 138 of them in two days, with approximately a third of buyers signed up for registration on the spot. We had flyers, displayed the new website on a desktop and also had staff assisting buyers and answering questions. Inside Green booth was one of the busier booths and nearly all the market’ visitors were seen bringing an Inside Green plant home!

An Awesome Beer & Plant Saturday with Andina Brewing Company

Andina Brewing Company is a South American inspired brewery and tasting lounge in a big yellow building that is now one of the landmarks of the East Vancouver craft beer landscape. Andina hosted Inside Green pop-up on November 9th, where we had a booth to give our assorted tropical houseplants for free in exchange for food & beverage purchases at their lounge and signing up for Inside Green website registration on the spot. The pop-up event was a success, at one point the tasting lounge was in full capacity and Inside Green gave away 61 plants out of 114 plants, all registered on the spot. The collaboration in promoting the event through social media also worked seamlessly, as most users found out about this event through Instagram Stories & Posts from both Andina and Inside Green accounts.

Closed the Season with a Green Friday with Strathcona Beer Company

Strathcona Beer Company is located in the heart of Strathcona, Vancouver’s oldest and most diverse commercial and residential neighbourhood. Not only that they have a world-class brewing facility they also offer their customers a collaborative community space where great beer, fresh locally sourced food and good friends come together. Strathcona hosted Inside Green pop-up on November 15th, where we had a booth to give our assorted tropical houseplants for free in exchange for food & beverage purchases at their lounge and signing up for Inside Green website registration on the spot. Inside Green gave away 40 registered plants out of 53, and we had a good turnout on our last event this season!
